An interactive horror writing workshop, ideal for students in Years 7 - 11.  Participants will discuss how horror offers a 'safe' space for exploring real-world fears and anxieties by reimagining those concerns in fantastical ways.  Building from this discussion, participants will design a 'scare machine' combining a chosen fear, an unsettling setting and a big bad for an unlikely hero to survive.  These 'scare machines' serve as a blueprint that participants can later develop into a fully realised narrative.
